Senior Supply Chain Manager

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you are responsible for managing a team of supply chain managers and also partially running programs yourself. Making sure to give structure and a professional execution to our loyalty programs, while ensuring operational excellence and costs effectiveness.


Duties & Responsibilities


Managing Team

  • Making sure in alignment with team, other seniors and Head of Supply Chain Management & Logistics of that there is a yearly plan with focus areas for the department (on processes, staff and tools), giving it a follow up and guard progress (report / KPI) to achieve goals
  • Give input to the long-term Strategic vision on SCM
  • High involvement and leading role in development of team and individuals in team: recruitment, personal development plan (PDP), reviews and end-year appraisal and also possible relocation
  • Managing holiday planning, workload balance and taking care of back-up
  • Giving input to the yearly departmental budget
  • Challenge continues improvement within team on processes, staff and tools
  • Escalation point for SCM on personal level and on the content of the SCM job
  • Expertise centre on SCM
  • Guard quality and cost effectiveness both in set-up and execution of programs
  • Make sure that the requirements for running programs in the team are being taken care of
  • Making sure to be informed about potential upcoming programs, to ensure enough preparation time

Program Management

  • Program set-up:

-Define program set-up together with other internal stakeholders like Category Managers, Program Managers and Logistics Managers

-Giving input to the standard operating protocol (SOP) per program 

  • Running program:

-Create production and shipment planning 

-Place external PO’s

-Update and analyse deliveries

-Anticipate on program results

-Responsible for all physical and administrative stock movement within approved schedule

  • Coordinate and report repack, order materials and create manual
  • Efficient and reliable handling of the incoming purchase invoices and outgoing sales invoices
  • Keep close contact with all internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, logistics providers)
  • Analyze operational excellence, advising future solutions and supply chain improvements
  • Create supply chain solutions and visible improvements
  • Complete program evaluation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years+ experience in international SCM: demand and supply planning, production planning, warehousing, sea-, air- and road freight
  • 2 years+ experience in managing a small team preferred
  • Very good understanding of standard office software (MS Office)
  • Experience of SAP systems is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Japanese (verbal and written) and good command of spoken and written in English
  • Strong time-management & analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills with ability to anticipate on, identify and solve problems
  • Pro-active, hands-on mentality and a good team player
