Sales Director for the US market

The Sales Director role at Brand Loyalty is a pivotal client facing role that requires a fine balance of account management, networking, prospecting in order to deliver the financial targets the organization has set. Becoming a thought leader for everything Sobeys is an important part of this role and will be used both internally and externally to demonstrate your capabilities to help solve client challenges. 

You are part of the North American Team and based in Toronto.

Your responsibilities

Maintain and grow existing client relationships, with the objective of developing new ideas and opportunities and becoming a trusted advisor and knowledge specialist to the client and their specific needs. Linking into the overall business development pipeline plan, prospecting tactics will be essential in delivering success.

  • Build a relationship plan for key client stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on decision makers and influencers within the client organization;
  • Develop new customers by building a targeted sales pipeline plan;
  • Lead the client pitch process, business reviews and all client presentations;
  • Lead the collaboration between all internal stakeholders (Creative, Digital, Martech, Program Management) for all pitch related materials and insights;
  • Lead and manage all program related financials, from projection building, program mechanisms and net margin targets including internal approval processes;
  • Lead and manage all client related negotiations;
  • Proactively seek and attend networking and industry related events;


What qualities do you bring?

  • US selling experience is a must have;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in solution selling and/or business development in a retail channel background;
  • Proven business development success via consultative selling to VP and C-level;
  • Strong presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills;
  • Solution selling oriented;
  • Customer-centric, detail-oriented along with strong analytical skills and business acumen;
  • Opportunistic personality with great problem-solving skills and a persistent and persuasive approach;
  • Excellent communication skills in English verbal and written;
  • Willing to travel frequently.
