Regional Business Director

Your team and responsibilities 

Regional Business Director will focus on three KPIs : (1) sales of new business and retention of our current customer base for a number of countries (2) building strong relationships with our local vendors and (3) ongoing supervision of the account management teams in the given region.

Besides this, the person will also:

  • Manage the P&L and be responsible for achieving annual revenue and EBITDA targets.
  • Develop strategic business plans
  • Build and grow C-level relationships
  • Conduct annual joint business planning with clients
  • Ensure execution excellence and that our loyalty programs deliver on the clients strategic objectives
  • Develop strategic relationships with all our local vendors who are instrumental to our operations
  • Manage the local office(s)
  • Provide the necessary support and coaching to ensure the team delivers on our client commitments
  • Lead and develop a strong performing local team
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments

Requirements

What qualities do you bring?

  • Tertiary degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in direct sales/account management (preferably within an international environment)
  • Familiar with Digital, Marketing, CRM, Analytics and Consumer Business Intelligence
  • Understanding of the retail environment is an advantage.
  • Strong aptitude for business development and consultative selling; a real hunter
  • People management experience in a cross-culture working environment
  • Strong project management skills with extensive experience in managing timelines
  • Consumer-centric, sales driven and detail-oriented, along with strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrates confidence, passion and the determination to succeed within a fast-paced, matrix and high achieving organization with high influencing capabilities
  • High ability to multi-task
  • Positive / can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English is required. Fluency in one of the local languages for the assigned region would be advanteous.
  • Team player and collaborates with internal teams
  • Strong drive and ability to work autonomously¬†
  • Able and willing to travel
