Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer is part of the Quality department in APAC. As a Quality Engineer, you are responsible for onsite product quality compliance and management. 

Your team and responsibilities
You manage product quality compliance at the manufacturing site, ensuring that quality requirements are met, and issues observed are well addressed. You assess manufacturing sites’ quality system, further drive improvement to ensure our expectations are met, and the sites are qualified to make our products.

 Job tasks

  • Perform inline inspection at factories and drive improvement through Corrective Action Report (CAR);
  • Ensure product QC plan is fully implemented and identify gaps for improvement;
  • Participate in onsite pre-production meeting and ensure agreed actions are implemented and requirements are met;
  • Witness for 3rd party Final Random Inspection and ensure it is conducted according to defined requirements;
  • Final inspection work;
  • Conduct onsite reliability/physical test;
  • Production processes and workmanships review;
  • Monitoring on daily output, efficiency and overall quality performance;
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide inputs for supplier score analysis.
  • Conduct factory quality audit and follow up of action plan and ensure all major findings are closed;
  • Quality related activities as assigned.


Requirements and qualifications

  • High school graduated or above;
  • 5 years of experience in quality control and inspection work;
  • Good product knowledge in toys, household products, consumer products or EE products;
  • Qualified quality system auditor with good knowledge in factory social compliance;
  • Independent, honest, strong sense of responsibility & eager to learn;
  • Frequent travel in China, approximately 4-5 days/week;
  • Good communication skills in English & Mandarin;
  • Able to write daily inline/inspection report.
