Head of Supply Chain Management and Logistics, APAC

As a Head of Supply Chain Management & Logistics APAC, you are responsible for managing a team of Supply Chain & Logistics Managers. Make sure to give structure and professional execution to our loyalty programs, while ensuring operational excellence and costs effectiveness.

Your team and responsibilities

You will be located at the Hong Kong office and will be a bigger part of our international Supply Chain and Logistics team. Together with this team you will make sure that are programs will be delivered at the right time and the right place.

Managing team:

  • Making sure in alignment with the team that there is a yearly plan with focus areas for the department (on processes, staff and tools), giving it a follow up and guard progress (report / KPI) to achieve goals;
  • Give input to the long-term strategic vision on SCM and Logistics;
  • Responsible for preparing logistics operations for expected challenges, and for building a resilient supply chain that is strong and stable enough to withstand unforeseen challenges (such as supply chain blockages or the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Giving input to the yearly departmental budget;
  • Expertise centre on SCM and Logistics;
  • Guard quality and cost effectiveness both in set-up and execution of programs.

Running programs:

  • Program set-up: o Plan, negotiate and implement logistical projects. o Control strategic forwarder selection within a region;
  • Make sure that logistic provider will facilitate an optimal warehouse and value-added service solution;
  • Create production and shipment planning;
  • Place external PO’s. o Update and analyse deliveries;
  • Anticipate on program results;
  • Responsible for all physical and administrative stock movement within approved schedule.

What qualities do you bring?

  • 10+ years of experience in international SCM: demand and supply planning, production planning, warehousing, sea-, air- and road freight;
  • Min 5 years+ experience in managing a team;
  • University degree, working and thinking level;
  • Very good understanding of standard office software (MS Office);
  • Good understanding of ERP systems (preferably SAP);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, verbal and written;
  • Experience in analyzing metrics and data-driven decision-making.
