Director Marketing Technology & Analytics

We are looking for an experienced marketing technology and data driven marketer to be the subject expert for our North American market.
The Marketing Technology director is, first and foremost, a technologist. The role requires the ability to liaison within the marketing function of the business and then translate that marketing vision to a technology implementation to deliver the best digital loyalty solutions.

Your team and responsibilities

The Director, Marketing Technology & Analytics primary role is to integrate digital marketing expertise, performance-focused data analytics and technology product development into the heart of our market offer. This strategic leadership and client-facing role is focused on helping clients understand our brand and can shape a retailers digital marketing funnel by developing technology platforms necessary for retailers to run our promotions. Besides that you are also managing large external and internal data sets to plan, monitor and measure loyalty performance. This position is also responsible for helping BrandLoyalty build its own CRM and digital promotion campaigns to expand our business portfolio and maintain a long-term dialogue with the US and Canadian food retail industry. The role is based in Toronto, Canada, with expectations of regular travel to North American retailers and the company Netherlands headquarters.

To summery your daily job;

  • Set the vision and plan for the future of Marketing Technology. Operationalize and execute on plan with excellence;
  • Act as External and Internal Digital Marketing, Marketing Technology and CRM Subject Matter Expert;
  • Translate digital technology investments into direct and measurable business results & outcomes;
  • Assess campaign performance and execute focused analysis to measure program results and provide actionable recommendations and insights;
  • Develop strategies and digital marketing overlays and enhancements that meet client objectives and convince client that loyalty campaign are an effective performance marketing techniques;
  • Support Sales Cycles Through Retailer Technology Assessments and Integration with BrandLoyalty loyalty Technology Products;
  • Provide expertise, vendor knowledge, and industry best practices across digital technology components;
  • Add Value to BrandLoyalty North America’s Management and People Development;
  • Hands-on skills using data and research to drive decisions;
  • Organisation Reporting and Management Responsibilities.

What qualities do you bring?

  • 5+  years experience in digital marketing, analytics, or MarTech consulting;
  • Subject matter expertise in technologies and tools to support digital marketing media across at least 2 of the following digital channels: site, display, search, mobile and social;
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) technical concepts and tools including relational databases, customer data integration, analytic modelling, campaign management and business intelligence systems;
  • Excellent structured communication skills;
  • Ability to bridge marketing and technology personnel;
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills and ability to present to technical, business, and marketing audiences;
  • Advanced understanding of data structures and algorithms;
  • Advanced understanding of solution and technical design;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical mentality.
