Data Analyst

As a Consumer and Business Intelligence Specialist you will deliver impactful data results for our business and clients while working closely with a cross-functional global team. You will be working with large-scale retail transactional and other behavioral data gathered from local markets. The data you analyze will play a crucial role in helping our business and our clients understand the power of BrandLoyalty programs. You will also be part of the largest loyalty Campaign provider globally, with experience in over 60 countries. You’ll be in charge of maintaining and improving our Data & Insight solutions

which run in the Azure cloud. BrandLoyalty lead the way in placing the consumer at the heart of decision-making, and you will play a key part in helping us to maintain this lead in a highly competitive environment. You’ll also be part of a talented, multi-disciplinary business. This means working with a diverse range of stakeholders and constantly working through the best technical solutions to meet their needs.

Your team and responsibilities

  • Business Requirements Identification; support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods such as
    interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis to express requirements
    clearly and succinctly.
  • Data Collection and Analysis; collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves
    working independently.
  • Insights and Reporting; contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Recommendations; advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.
  • Stakeholder Engagement; contribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concern and reacting to these by arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
  • Workshop Facilitation; support process development workshops with subject matter experts, drive agreement on process flows across functional areas, and document processes and activity workflows to develop clear and detailed process maps.
  • Advanced and Predictive Analytics; support interpretation of advanced and predictive analytics data, using specialized software tools and functionalities.
  • Improvement through Business Intelligence; create basic machine learning algorithms and support creation of more complex algorithms that identify patterns in structured data. Partner with different business stakeholders and internal clients to ensure the collection of data in accordance with model standards.


What qualities do you bring?

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years’ experience within a commercial organization working hands on with data and analytical tools. Preferably with membership card/ retailer (food or non-food) experience
  • Managerial basic experience of coordinating the work of others; minimum of 3 to 6 months. 
  • Experience in a relevant field: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL server, Azure Data warehouse and Data Factory, and experience with data ingestion (cleaning, ETL, validation), and (T)SQL scripting. Certified MSSQL 2014 is a plus
  • Strong Experience in Microsoft PowerBI & PowerBI-related data architecture
  • Understanding complex data warehousing and relational databases
  • Able to set up databases and data modeling
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (preferable)
  • Scripting in Python or R (preferable)
  • Self-service Business Intelligence tool (Tableau preferred)
  • Experience with an agile way of working.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Risk management. Ability to identify potential risks and to resolve with impacted parties
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Able to communicate clearly with senior management across disciplines
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Excellent attention to detail and out of the box mentality.
  • Able and willing to travel 5-15%
