Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can integrate digital marketing expertise, performance-focused data analytics and technology product development into the heart of our market offer and be the strategic partner to our clients. This client-facing role is focused on helping clients understand that our loyalty campaigns and creative platforms can drive and shape retailers marketing funnel.

Furthermore, this role is strong and commercially minded, and you need to be capable of building the right client relationships, together with the sales team, at the senior level to push decisions.   • You have a vision and plan for the future of Loyalty Technology. Operationalize and execute on plan with excellence;
  • You provide subject matter expertise in the area of digital and long-term loyalty and marketing technology
  • Subject matter expert in digital marketing, loyalty, promotions, CRM, and the technology required to support our programs and integrate into our client's technology platforms. Continually monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies and translate them into new marketing ideas for clients.
  • Develop strategies and digital marketing overlays and enhancements that meet client objectives and convey the message that loyalty campaigns are an effective performance marketing technique;
  • Work with the in-house Sales and Marketing teams to design the marketing activations that fit the retailers existing marketing & loyalty initiatives. Develop recommendations for information and technology to drive programs across all digital media channels.
  • Support sales cycles through retailer technology assessments and integration with BrandLoyalty loyalty technology products.
  • Be the consultant to the BrandLoyalty sales teams in effectively offer retailers technology capabilities across the entire marketing and sale ecosystem (digital, offline, multi-media, measurement, data management).
  • Assess campaign performance and execute focused analysis to measure program results and provide actionable recommendations and insights to our clients to prove the effectiveness of Loyalty in the retailers' marketing mix.
  • Guide/give direction/work closely with the creative & UX teams throughout their design process, ensuring a commitment to strategy and business objectives.
  • Build BrandLoyalty credibility and capabilities through external networking and industry event participation.

Requirements

What qualities do you bring?
The ideal candidate for this position must have a foundation in strategy consultancy, digital marketing, loyalty and/or the metrics to deliver a strong retailer return on investment. A strong self-starter with a problem solving mentality with the ability to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations to support the growth of client relationships.

  • Master degree;
  • 5+ years working experience, both at a strategy consultancy firm and within a business environment;
  • 2-4 years of experience in strategy consultancy;
  • Experience within digital marketing, retail, FMCG or Digital marketing;
  • Experience in business development role with a proven track record of creating traction, first successes and taking the organization along in this journey;
  • Subject matter expertise in technologies and tools to support digital marketing media across at least 2 of the following digital channels: site, display, search, mobile and social;
  • Entrepreneurial professional with a natural relationship building mentality across cross-functional teams both internally and externally;
  • Ability to engage at multiple levels within client organizations to influence decisions, establishing trust and becoming a true advisor;
  • Agile and able to shift approaches in order to best deliver for our clients;
  • Consultative approach to business development, identifying needs and selling appropriate customer first solutions;
  • Ability to translate client needs and expectations into innovative, strategic solutions;
  • Able to identify opportunities that enrich customers experiences that deepen engagement with our clients’ brand and translate it to a BrandLoyalty solution;
  • Excellent structured communication skills with the ability to bridge commercial, marketing and technology personnel;
  • Hands-on skills using data and research to drive decisions;
  • Quantitatively curious, understand data and use it to gather insights that drive strategies.
