Vodafone Romania and Mega Image launch the <strong>first Smart Supermarket</strong>

Vodafone Romania and Mega Image have launched the first Smart Supermarket in Romania, located in Barbu Văcărescu Boulevard in Bucharest. The shop has nine fully-functional Internet of Things retail solutions that help Mega Image to identify customers’ needs and to understand their behaviour in order to increase efficiency, satisfaction and an improved shopping experience. The supermarket has implemented Smart solutions for customer statistics, stock monitoring, digital media signage for personalised advertising, promotion targeting to display relevant information to visitors, customers’ interest areas, queue management, Wi-Fi for clients, a shopper's feedback system, and a customer service assistant.

Intermarché has rocked the French loyalty market with this loyalty programme whereby shoppers can collect stamps for high-quality vivo | Villeroy & Boch knives for just €1 ! A collection of 6 vivo knives and 2 completers are available, and to participate shoppers need to have a loyalty card from Intermarché. This programme has been activated with a beautifully designed programme website including several videos and a French blogger sharing 6 recipes especially created to inspire Intermarché shoppers.

<strong>Casino</strong> unveils new &lsquo;&lsquo;Le 4 Casino&rsquo;&rsquo; concept

The Casino Group has launched a new store concept called 'Le 4 Casino' in Paris. 'Le 4 Casino' is a place to eat, relax and shop where digital services enhance and simplify the day-to-day shopping experience. The store’s offering is unique, with a gourmet grocery aisle, a selection of Casino food items, a large proportion of organic and vegan products in the mix, exclusive products from guest brands and chefs, a Cdiscount showroom with a co-working space, and even a state-of-the-art wine cellar. In addition to this, the shopping experience has been streamlined and enhanced by a variety of digital services enabling customers to shop 24/7 without going through a physical checkout, easily locate products in-store, choose from a broader range of products and services via digital interfaces, and find more detailed information about the products on offer.

1st Disney baking programme at MERKUR in Austria

A Disney baking loyalty programme has started at Merkur in Austria. Part of the REWE Group, Merkur is the fourth-largest retailer in the market and has 130 hypermarkets throughout Austria. There are six different items available to collect and 3 extra completers. For every 200 Disney points, shoppers can get 1 Disney Baking item for FREE.
