Marketing Manager

In line with our expansion of the Asia-Pacific loyalty business and rapid transformation of the food retail industry and consumer behaviors, we are now seeking a highly passionate and energetic individual to take on the role of Marketing Manager. This role reports in to the Marketing Director, Asia-Pacific. The individual must be highly competent in 3 main areas; proactive collaboration with Sales Teams in winning deals through understanding of client business needs to providing marketing content in pitch processes; planning, execution and measurement of shopper activations for loyalty programs and apt at internal marketing.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You will oversee all clients, consumers (shoppers) and colleagues marketing initiatives for China & Taiwan with a flexibility of managing additional regions in the future. This is an independent role, with growth opportunities as our business expands.
  • You are required to be highly self-driven in understanding client business needs, competitions and local food retail landscapes to position yourself as the expert marketer for your Sales Teams via the creation of marketing content (i.e. story-telling) to providing platforms (i.e. pitch collaterals, creation of experience for clients) in our pitch processes to win key deals, ready to be C-level clients facing with Sales as and when required
  • Basic pre-requisites include excellent and timely planning, development, execution and monitoring of shopper activations for loyalty programs, working closely with client marketing counterparts and colleagues, in the areas inclusive but not limited to:

      - Marketing events for retail clients & consumers (shoppers);

      - Creation of Key Campaign Visuals aligning with brand owners, clients & sales; 

      - Developing marketing collaterals (i.e. Product Displays, Bonus Stamps, POSMs);

      - Developing other key marketing initiatives Online & Offline

      - Developing measurement for Shopper Activations to evaluate its effectiveness; 

  • As part of our rapidly growing international organization, you will take charge of internal marketing for our China & Taiwan offices in relation to accurate implementation of visual identity in all communications to the branding of BrandLoyalty values to colleagues. 
  • With the revolutionary digital technology advancement resulting in rapid consumer behavior changes from communications to shopping experiences especially in China, having a proven track-record in consumer digital marketing will be a strong advantage (i.e. past works showcasing actual enhancement of business performance through digital marketing initiatives).
  • You are to proactively collaborate via strong teamworking with your stakeholders in China & Taiwan, between HQ Marketing in the Netherlands, different offices around the world, brand owners and vendors to continuously inspire, innovate and improve.

 

 

Requirements

Who are you?

When it comes to experience we expect you to fit the requirements below:

  • Minimum University degree or higher (in Marketing and/or related fields).
  • 10+ years of Marketing (preferably in FMCG, retail, consumer digital marketing background), Trade Marketing,  Ad agency experience.
  • Proven China marketing experience and achievements a must.
  • Independent, self-driven, ambitious and a great team-player.
  • Key culture trait of being international.
  • Solid project management track-record, detail-oriented and advocator of creative yet pragmatic marketing
  • Excellent written & spoken English / Putonghua mandatory.
  • Great presentation skills (both developing and actual presentations).
  • Loves meeting clients (including C-Levels) with about 30% travel requirements
