Disney Movie Moments at Plus Supermarkets

Disney's Movie Moments programme created a lot of happiness and joy among the shoppers of Plus.

The programme offered shoppers of Plus supermarkets in the Netherlands physical cards linked to popular Disney movies which could be collected in an album. To deepen the emotional connection with customers of Plus, the cards were linked with an app offering an Augmented Reality (AR) experience. Using AR to activate sights, sound and interactivity children could explore emotional highlights of their beloved movie. The Disney Movie Moments programme brought all the movie characters to life and won the hearts of the Dutch kids and parents. See the testimonial video below: 


Loyalty Magazine Awards Winner 2019 - Best Use of Communications - including Social Media

Movie Moments combines physical card collection with a mobile app to unlock multimedia content using AR. The campaign resulted in 9.2 million cards scanned to activate the AR experiences. The Movie Moments app was downloaded over 85,000 times and used on average for over 10 minutes per day. Each user of the app scanned 108 cards, showing how compelling this programme was for the target audience. 

This programme consisted of a creative and integrated on and offline communications approach with the app having extra content to encourage consumer activity using AR to activate sight, sound and interactivity.
